My name is Rodney I started out like most kids, i was a dirt biker , then got a moped in HS, rode a suzuki GS500 in college, joined the Army. Got outta the Army, got married, had a kid, then got back into Vespas, and was given a GL350 Scrambler, in pieces, and wanna make a mean cafe out of it. Been doing research for about two years and honing my motor mechanic skills on rebuilding Vespas. Now I have the bike that was given to me and ready to do the deed.

Well It is a pile of pieces right now that look like a yard sale across my work table. I was literally given the bike, sans motor, tank, seat, electrical or side panels. Then three soggy cardboard boxes with the aforementioned parts, which had been hanging in our beautiful Willamette Valley Liquid Sunshine for a season or to. I have been taking stock of what I have and need PIX to follow.

When you get that bike done take it up to Crater Lake. Very, very cool place to ride a bike. That rode that goes around the rim...... amazing!

I put drop bars and a "racing seat" on it. Then I just realized, I am Just gonna get that cafe motorcycle, cause it takes a lot to get a scooter to keep up.

Got off my butt and got more shots but the stable looks like shite as the winter has been long for me. The pics are the frame, pile-o-parts, work bench. I Got a scooter rally in Portland today, should be a good time and a great source for parts and services, like paint.

Looks like you have the skill and most of the what you need to make a cool cafe from your 350 parts (does he mean 350 parts, or parts from a 350? Hmm...).

What's the story on the bike with the dual projector's?

I won It a a scooter rally a few years back and plan to make it an around town little cafe for the wife, she is light and its 50cc. It is a Sachs Mad Ass. I am fabbing a rear set for it and putting on clip ons. Right now it is like a weak moped but once I drop in the bigger motor, it was awesome. I wanna throw on a spare tank. I just wanted add Thanks, about the seat I anm gonna seee how it looks on the 350, and if it's good get another.

I wasn't planning on the using the orignal tank or seat. I am waiting for this tank Benji's customs. Could I sell or trade the stuff?

Well, if you are going to sell the tank, I am interested. Especially if the latch works. Unless it's super rusty inside. Hmm.. maybe even then.
Maybe the rest of the painted parts too, if possible. I can trade some others if needed to paint.

well the blue tank and side panels are in great shape and no interior rust, the red one has some rust on the inside. Let me get back to the two of you via pm and when I get home I can take better pix.

good to see another guy in the PNW. i'm in Vancouver, but frequent PDX, so maybe i'll catch you on a ride some day. i've been trying to get my girl to buy a scoot for navigating downtown Portland, but she isn't havin it.
