Hi My name is Jesse and I recently just got my First motorcycle a 1980 Honda CB125. My uncle has had the bike for 20 years and only would drive it around the block every now and then. Im very excited to get it up and running! my future plans are a simple cafe style build. nothing to extreme. well here is my only pic so far I hope to post more as soon as it warms up and I can get working on her.

Re: New Guy SLC,UT

im in SLC too, i know friggin weather sucks..

have you been to the blue plate diner at all?

they have a friggin sweet cb125 in the front seating area that always gives me motivation to keep working on my bike, they did a mild cafe job on it, white paint with red stripe, clubmans and single RPM gauge and then all polished out, you should go check it out

nice Cherokee. Am I seeing a small lift on it?

No, hopefully in a few months I will be doing a 3inch lift nothing to crazy. Just the way they should have came from the factory. I hate when a Subaru Outback parks next to me and has more clearance. lol :p

Thanks, the snow bummed me out. I am super ready for spring.

Ahahahah! A mormon motorcycle is the Mountain bikes that the missionarys ride from door to door.

I really hope that this bike runs. I think that it will....

Re: New Guy SLC,UT

Thanks I was wondering what kind of oil to use. I should be able to pick up that oil at a honda bike/atv shop? If the weathers nice next week I may give her a shot and see if she will fire up or not...

Re: New Guy SLC,UT

Thanks a ton man! I ordered a new 6v battery and planned on going to the honda dealer and getting oil/sparkplug but I did not know about the points.... but the bike has 6000 miles on it and last ran in 1998. but had all the fuel drained out from it when parked. but I am totally into spending the little bit more to get the oem parts and everything running the best it can.

Re: New Guy SLC,UT

sounds good.... Ya I tip the scales at 130 soaking wet so this bike will be fine for a first bike 8)

well... I got her running and took it for a spin. runs good I think the problem is that anything more than a quarter throttle it just boggs... my next step is to rebuild the carb I think....
