Hey guys, name's Vince. I hail from south Jersey. Just stumbled upon this sight tonight and man is it filled with some great info! I just picked up a 1975 cb750 with a cafe conversion. Long story short, I am helping a buddy on his 550 and have a baby on the way, I knew I wouldn't have the time to fix the '76 750 basket case I have. So i went straight to the finish line. Still needs a little tweaking but i am pretty happy with it. So if anyone is in the neighborhood, I am always looking for people to ride with.

I'm on the other end of Jersey in Sussex County . Gotta meet up before it gets REALLY cold . I too have a 76 CB750 but it's far from a basketcase . Got anything running right now ?

Wow...NJ guys comin out of the wood work!! Where in SJ are you? I'm in Mt. Laurel, recently picked up a cb350, but right now it's all torn ta bits.

YOur 750 looks great!! Where did you get ahold of that!!

Anyway, I'm a newbie here to so just wanted to say welcome.

Thanks guys. I am from Woodstown. Ever hear of Cowtown? LOL...Its starting to get really cold, i can't believe it. The bike in the pic is running, however It needs a little tunning. I am now learning the 750's don't like POD filters. Atleast that is what I am reading. So I need to figure out whats going on at WOT.

Thanks for the link...But they seem to be having a problem with the security code for new registrations.

Not really . That site hasn't changed in 4 years and is somewhat abandoned . Not sure if they're still part of Ton Up anymore .The Cafe Racer culture here though is still alive , kicking and screaming within the Garden State .

NJ here as well. But I am in the middle of the state. Welcome to the club!

I have machine tools (mill, lathe etc...) and plan to do some parts for cafes... Need any custom bits? I could always use a guinea pig :)

Sure thing...let me know what your thinking of. Hmmm so many things come to mind, lol.

Some custom rear sets would be nice, and I'll even let ya use my bike as a guinea pig for free.........as long as I can get a set!! :D

Eric - I might hit you up for some custom work myself - need to have some plates made up for mounting rearsets - 3/8" thick aluminum plate, about 4x4" each just cut into a shape and some holes.

If you were able to do this work, how would I deliver specs to you? I'm no machinist - would be happy to pay for the work as well. They're for the XS650, and are just flat plates with holes in the right spots.
