New to the site, though I would introduce myself.

Ive been around motorcycles since my eyes opened for the first time (old mans been buying, building, selling them for decades). First bike I owned was a cb450 at the age of 14, never really thought about rebuilding it but the motor was locked up and a friend of the family offered to trade me a shotgun for it so i took it.

Well it took me till I was 23 and a deployment to afghanistan to get another one and thats were my 75 CB750 came from, couldnt pass up the deal for $200. Always loved the cafe style and have been eyeing them up for a while.

Currently on deployment #2, plan to hit the ground running (as well as a build thread) when I get back this summer.

look forward to seening more builds on here and im sure I will be asking for help along the way.

heres a few pics of the cb

$200!! You STOLE it! Nice score man. Now watch your ass and get back here safe to get to work on that ol, Gal. Does she run?

Yes, i had it on the road last year and its at my old mans now he starts it up weekly to keep the fluids moving.

That looks like a fairly clean survivor. You may want to think twice about cutting her up.

My build is going to be a little different, Im not going to cut anything as far as the frame goes. All parts from this bike will remain intact and it will just be stripped and ill purchase parts when and where i can find them to modify. I am the second owner and i have the original registration paperwork from 1975 when it was purchased at the dealer. I want to design it so it can be returned to original at any time!

Believe it or not, you can do a lot to a bike with that mindset. Everthing unbolts, so as long as you stick to bolt-on mods... you're golden ;)
