new led brake light bulb, 1157 not working.

Been Around the Block
I ordered the one from lowbrowcustoms.com. it's dual filament which is what I need for my single bulb aftermarket style light.

My regular filament bulb works fine, the led one doesn't light up. I have a cl360. Thoughts?

This it's the one I bought. I'm not sure why it's not working.

I tried swapping the leads and nothing. I even tried another 1157 led bulb. It just doesn't want to light them up.

My dash lights are burnt out maybe that's the problem. But my filament bulb works as a brake light.

Replaced all my dash lights/ indicators with leds and it's still not working.

Re: new led brake light bulb, 1157 not working.

Some LED lamps (especially high-powered ones) can have pretty high forward voltage requirements. They won't light unless they get 12 volts or more which means if your battery is low, it might not light unless the engine is running.

Have you checked with the engine running? What's the condition of your stator?

I got it to turn on, with the key all the way back in the non running/ brake light position. It only turns on when I press the brake too.

I need it to stay on when driving and get brighter when I apply the brakes. Yes I tried everything, it's weird how the regular bulb works fine.

My battery is new and powerful agm, and charging is working great.
