New member and first cafe build

what colour tank? Grey? The yellow wouldof even been sharp perhaps

I'm still deciding on the color of the tank. I'm thinking satin black but after some thought, it could be boring/too typical. The yellow might have been a little too much for me personally. Maybe a steel grey for the tank. Still have some time to decide but am open for suggestions.

Check out the cb450 thread up right now. Spideys. If you did a sweet thick rich grey (like this DTT background) with green
edge striping like he did on his. Im still digging a wicked yellow emblem though. That could look really good!

That might be dope

Finally had more time to work on the bike today. Got it up on jack stands and the front end fully installed and wheels mocked up to run brake lines. I'll order tires tomorrow from the local cycle shop to get it rolling again and from there its just making the new wiring loom, double checking everything, filling with fluids and firing it up.

On another note, Im picking up a KZ650 tomorrow as a secondary project. I may eventually sell the cb360 or just keep both depending on which I enjoy more.

Im really diggin this build, and that tank has really caught my eye. I saw a tank like that recently on ebay, but was unsure exactly what it was. After seeing what you are doing with yours, I am gonna start investigating further.
Those loops on the frame look like they will work perfectly with the rearsets.

Why not paint the tank green and white..

Ya know, I never even thought of having some white in there with the green. That would be very clean yet catchy. I'll have to do some sketches and see how it'll look.

whats with the caged m3 in the background?

That is my 1995 M3 race car that I run in BMWCCA and NASA. For more pictures on the entire rebuild, see the link below:

On another note, I snagged this beauty today for $100. It has a complete motor which is good, wiring harness etc.. It is in great condition and can't wait to do a simple cafe build on it.

im envious of the M3. laguna seca blue is by far the best color ever invented.

My brothers race car next to mine is painted that color. He loves it as well. Mine is Subaru WRC blue.
