Hi my name is Joe and I have an old bevel Ducati from 1975. I'm not sure how far I want to go into customizing it, but I'll be looking here for ideas and insight.

Thanks.

single seat it, bikini fairing aka ss style and put the original tank and covers away and use a fibreglass one and it'll look and handle sweet, had a SD900 which i have regretted selling from the day 1

Thanks everyone. I honestly don't know which direction I want to go cosmetically, and once a direction is chosen, how for to take it. The performance mods will definitely be there, in good time. Some ideas my brother and I have tossed around: straight cut primaries, dry clutch, and a better transmission once Nova Racing in the UK finishes their design work. The other weak point is the needle bearing crank. There may be something in the works for that as well. The electronic ignition could stand to be updated (which will allow me to install a gear gazer). I've installed a higher wattage alternator and regulator to help out with the electrical system, and I want to redo the entire electrical system and replace the fuse box with a device called the M-Unit by Motogadget.

I'm open to suggestions for appearance like Terry66 has suggested. I have an idea of what I want to do, but my ideas aren't necessarily in keeping with a strict cafe racer style. But I'm here because I wanted to share my bike with everyone and I enjoy vintage bikes and I really like to see what cool ideas everyone else has come up with.

I can't wait to see what you have in store for the old Duc. I love Ducatis and I love rare bikes. Good luck with the work ahead. Cheers.

Make plans to attend Barber in October! We'll be there.

Yes, my brother has let me know in no uncertain terms I need to attend this year, especially to meet all of his old bevel head friends.

Hey Joe!

I am a new member as well in Atlanta. I'm in the process of getting my bike up to a reliable condition. Would love to meet up and go for a ride or shoot the shit sometime.

Matteo
