So I was on here a couple years back when it first started, had a 78xs650 cafe bike. Ended up building it into a brat bike, hardtailed and yada yada....made the mistake of trading it for an ironhead sportster which I kept for a year, despised, and finally sold last week for way more than it was worth simply because it had the "hardly Worthitson" name brand. So, now I got some Christmas money and allotted myself $500 to find another Jap bike. I was hoping to find something early 70's but everything I came across was extra crusty, and prices for runners have jumped up a little bit over the past couple years. I ended up scoring a 82 XJ550 Maxim for $400. Bike runs great, a little dirty but road ready. So now I'm collecting parts to make it mine. Probably goin in the direction of half tracker/half cafe gravel crew type of deal. I'll post some pics as it comes along
