New to Cafes and bikes

Been Around the Block
Hey just intorducing myself names Jon and from the screen name you guessed it I have a 81 yamaha sr250 two actually one is compleat and is going to be staying that way it needs some work to be safetied and a little tlc with paint and what not it is a 81 :D , then i have the parts bike that came along with it that I would like to make into a cafe Bike I have already started to tear it down. should I stick with the orig 250 motor ??? or could I bigger one go in its place ;D ? if not was thinking about boring it out a little to get some more umph out of it...anyways moving on I'm from up North so if any one knows of a good shop for parts or for any help up here please let me know thanks (up north is half hour past Muskoka)

Thanks Noel,I'll have to do a "ton" ;D of reading befor I start any thing big on the bike for sure. i actually have meet you befor at Tess and Jims hahaha...I'm Allies boyfriend

Yeah remembered about your site and when I picked up these bikes fig I might as well come on to have some people who have doen builds befor to bounce Ideas off and what not.

hahaha... does Allie know about the dubious world you are about to plunge into?... or should we just not mention anything over the upcoming Christmas get togethers??!!...LOL have you though about how you are gonna explain the new DTT patch on your jacket??!!..

hahaha kind of :) she knows I got a bike and a "spare" bike, should be okay if it comes up over christmas time...have to pick up a newish jacket first think the one i co-owned with my dad got passed on (was his had taken it over) was a nice orig. one too..... ??? have to look into that now haha
