New to DTT and first cafe project 78 gs550

Hey guys Awsome site with great builds and ideas. Im on my first project and pretty much first bike. Picked up a 78 gs550 in great shape. so far I have switched to 4 into 1 exhaust, got rid of the points and replaced with electronic ignition, new speedo/ tach, smaller handlebar instruments, tires, just had to replace stator. You know basically all the newb cosmetic stuff. this summer i plan on going to pods, building a seat and mounting electronics under seat, but im a little hesitant about this being new to all this. Plus there are zero cafe's i have seen im my neck of the woods so no one to bounce ideas off of..Thats why this forum kicks ass. Would appreciate any advice on how to start the battery relocation process, and dont feel bad about dumbing it down...
