Hey everyone, I love this site and can not wait to dig into my bike (and post alot of pics). I just moved to Germantown MD, which is just north of DC from GA. I Have a 1972 CL350 complete running bike and a full no running one as well. My plan is to strecth it 4 to 5 inches and hardtail it. I currently live in a apt and have a storage unit (which has no power and I keep getting yelled at for working on projects in), but I am renting a garage in March. I'm 28 and I'm a old school hot rodder that had to sell everything but my bikes when I moved here. So i am going nuts to build something.

There's a big British meet close to you every year in May.

I think the site is: classicmotorcycleday.org

Check the 'East Coast' section of the Forum, as I just posted some initial info about the 2nd Annual 'Spring Ride'.

The countdown has begun! On the 4th I get the keys to my new 15 x 35 garage. I will post some pics of my bikes and what I am starting with this weekend. Since the season is almost here, I think I'm going to do some small cafe upgrades to my running bike and then start the bobber project on my parts bike frame. I already have some parts( clubman bars, cafe seat, taillight, blinkers, and filters). I only have a title for the running bike. What do you think about two bikes sharing a vin/license plate? I guess you can't ride two horses with one ass. If anyone is in the area and wants some free beer and talk/wrench on bikes the weekend of the 12th just let me know your beer of choice.

P.S. What is a good website to find new wheel spokes?

Welcome to the site. Congrats on the new shop space. As far a switching plates, its fine until you get caught, like any other illegal activity. You wanna take the chance, thats up to you man.

Oh, and wheel spokes... Buchannons is the best, but can be pricey. EBay has plenty as well, depending on the bike.
