I've known about this site for awhile, not sure why I just registered now, but here I am. I grew up in Youngstown Ohio, always on a dirt bike. I now live in SoCal with a highly modded Moto Guzzi V7 Café Classic and a Honda GL500i café/bobber sort of thing. I'm also a member of the Aces Car Club and have a kustom '63 Ford Falcon that's been in a few shows and magazines.
My current project, the GL, was a $100 purchase that I broke down and rebuilt. After I got it running smoothly, I determined a rod bearing is shot. So the bike now sits waiting for me to tear the engine back down, again. This really shot down my moral. Once I have the crank in hand, I'm hoping a few hundred dollars more and a bunch more labor I'll actually have it on the road. I still need tank paint and seat leather, but that's it.
