New member here from frozen Michigan. Thinking of bikes in the spring. Don't have a cafe yet but putting together one in my mind. A buddy of mine and I have a pair of amen saviors with cb750 sohc engines and my son is building a cb750 sohc hardtail. I REALLY want to put together a cafe racer and try my hand at vintage road racing. My friend and I have a lot of Honda CB750 parts laying around and we're actively looking for a pair of CB750s to make a couple of racers, maybe Rickman CR750 replicas or something similar. Looking forward to hanging out here.
I know a guy in St. Clair for parts, also he could track you down a good deal! Im in Troy and Big Rapids. lemme know if your close. the guy i know runs Detroit Vintage Cycles, where everything is $5 8)
I live in Durand, about 30 miles east of Lansing. I've been itching for awhile now to put together a cafe racer and try my hand at some actual sanctioned road racing. When my taxes come in we're going to pick up a couple neglected cb750s and see what we can build. I talked him into building the amen saviors we have now so it was pretty easy to talk him into this to. Looking forward to it.
