Heya All,
Im from Melbourne, Australia, have been introduced to this site by a guy that I work with, hes building a cafe racer. I have always been into that style of bike and always wanted to try it but with finances and time constraints I was unable.
Last month my father passed away at 54 and as he always had plans and unfortunately didnt end up doing any of them it has changed my outlook on life somewhat.
I decided that its time to do something that i want and hence I have started to look for a bike that I could work with to have my own Cafe Racer.
Today I have bought that bike. I found it on an auction site and after a few bids it was mine.
It is a 1976 Suzuki GS750.
Now I have never worked on a bike before, well other than changing my pipes fitting power commander, few carbon bits and servicing of my '09 Honda CB1000R.
So this will be my first real project and I can't wait. Let me know if you have any advice and I will be attempting to post updates of my progress and build as I go along.
Koff
