Whatsup guys!?

My name is John, Currently living in Savannah,GA

I recently purchased a 1971 Honda SL175 which I am in love with. This is my first bike and I am eager to learn all I can about my bike and motorcycles in general. I will have plenty of questions in the near future on how to keep her in shape and how to move in the right direction to give her a proper cafe feel.

:-X ok here's some photos

Thanks man!

I agree but would like to bring the handlebars dow, similar to the the banner image for this site (up top left) and I need to fix my exhaust

Welcome to the Ton man !

First thing is get a manual as it will help more then anything on the over all workings of your bike .
Second DONT DO A THING !!! That bike looks to be in good order just get it running as it should and enjoy it . After a season of riding you'll know what you like or don't like and winters a great time to mess with it .

Just me but that bike has the look of a tracker not a cafe !

I agree, thank you. I'm saying this like I have the money to do anything in the "not broke, don't fix it" category anyway.

The only thing I need to be in perfect running order is some pipes, the bike currently has old mower exhaust on it, which just gave out on me on the right side. If anyone could point me in the direction for a replacement it would be very much so appreciated.

Welcome to DTT. Your bike looks super clean. I love the fenders on the SLs and the number plate fits the look.

Nah - buy another one to mess with and ride this one. You always want one bike running. Eventually you'll have 10 like most of us ;)

Thanks guys, I appreciate the comments.

and Tim...I love the Pulp Fiction Reference in your footer. I've have my BAMF wallet in my back pocket for about 4 years now and still lose it when people dont get it ;D ;D

Could use some super bike bars will lower them or make them flatter ?

Welcome to DTT, I agree with everyone else, your bike looks to be in too good of order to mess with. Buy a neglected bike to learn and alter. We've all learned this advise the wrong way and spent entire summers without rideable bikes.

Enjoy the show.
