Newb with a '73 CB-G

Proud owner of a somewhat trick '73 CB350
Just joined and always looking for hot tips. The before pics, then after where you can see I put a set of MotoBits rearsets on, new Avons and National Cycle fairing before my trip to Deal's Gap/Tail of the Dragon, where I killed tons of current-model liters, sportbikes, nakeds, you name it. (I was passed only once and that by a former one-year WERA champ on a Camel Gixxer 750 who used to bang bars with Scott Russell). The Tail is all turns with no long straights so HP is NOT king at the Dragon. VM round slides helped, electronic ignition, beefed up suspenders both ends; wouldn't have considered going as aggressive w/o the '73 front disc. Centramatic on-board dynamic wheel balancers front and rear kept the tires tracking true. Three days of full-twist throttle over the 11-mile, 318 corner circuit of the best twisties imaginable. :)

Right on for making the racer boys eat humble pie. Good thing you installed those rearsets or else you would've planted your footpeg mounts. Don't ask how I know.

Welcome. Nice 350. What type of ignition did you use?
I went with Autocar-Electrical's Newtronic HO5 kit because it's by far the least expensive. Both power and MPG improved immediately. :)

Thanks for the welcome everyone, and yeah, DrJ, I got a pretty good idea where your comin' from!

That's a clean ride and those are great pics. Welcome to the site.

I love it when a new guy shows up and posts pics. Welcome man.

Welcome to DTT. FYI, I "stole" that last pic to show people, who say old bikes don't handle.
