Hey all -
well heres my story. I started my off at the age of 19 when I did the usual ting and bought a crotch rocket (93' CBR 600) for a few years. then decided i wanted a project. I bought an FT-500 ASCOT, which I managed to do a few asthetic changes but lack of funding and life forced me to sell it. Fast forward about 8 years two kids and and a wife later.... here I am, diving back in. this will be my first bike build, plenty with cars, but no bikes, so im sure ill have some questions along the way and expect to make some mistakes to learn from... hopefuly none too costly.
I have been lurking for a while, decided to sign up a few days ago. Ive been a fan of cafe styling for a long time.
Today i picked up my new project. its a 1980 xs650 that the PO made some of his own modifications too. it is rattle canned and is in need of some serious TLC but it runs and shifts through all the gears. I also got a tub of spare and original parts with it too.
Plans are undetermined for sure but im leaning toward a tracker/cafe cross. either way, it should be fun!
