I've been here a few times, just decided to join since i've gotten my bike rideable. Been working on it for a while. Its a 76' CB550. Got it originally for $450, tried to keep this build cheap. Its my first Cafe. Litterally just got the tail back from the painter and did the black on it yesterday. First atempt at making the tail as well.

Where at in NC are you located? I'm getting my CB550 finished up soon and a few buddies and I are all going on a group ride out to the dragon after Thanksgiving.

We're down in the Wilmington/Jacksonville area

BTW whats your jetting on this thing? I'm still messing with mine and cant quite get it dialed in ::)

The front of my tail section has an upright piece molded in that fits right in to that spot.

Very nice! What did you do to fill the gap on the back of the tank where it meets the seat?

I'm in Wilmington. I have to do some jet work and get better tire before the bike is ready for that kind of ride. I'm just glad to have it back in one piece for now. I really haven't seen many cafe style bike around here. Any of you guys going to be at the Port City Rumble this weekend?
