Im from a little town of Hickory, North Carolina. Story is I have always been fascinated with Cafe bikes; just never had the guts to commit and get one. Well, finally I did. All the conditions were just perfect for me to get one. Shes' a 1981 Suzuki GS 450 Sport. Not such a looker yet. But she runs at the moment. I knew that I wanted to at least get a running condition bike. That way I can learn slowly, and modify slowly also.
Mods include:
Clip Ons
Alot of stock stuff removed
Gauges
Signals
Horn
Headlight Fairing
etc......(please note...I did not do this)
Plans include:
Drag Bars
Speedometer built into headlight bucket (prob. custom affair)
Cafe seat. Most likely longer one so I can ride the wife sometimes. (no pun okay)
Paint tank and seat fairing Ducati Red
Paint Frame Matte Gold
Engine matte black
Wheels matte black also.

Hopefully I can find more information about turning a Suzuki Gs 450 into a Cafe thanks to DTT. I know alot of guys out there go the CB or XS route. I like to be different.
