Hi everyone, my name is Tyrone. Just bought a 1980 CB400T for my first bike and I'm really excited. A little about me:
I've prior experience working on cars doing things here and there like swapping motors with my friend on his Civic, installing turbo and superchargers on past vehicles, and other random regular things car nuts do involving bolt-ons and such. Not super experienced, but I can usually fix something if it's wrong with my car with a beer and a long look at the Haynes manual lol. That being said, I am completely new to motorcycles. In fact, the last time I've even ridden one is about a decade ago. So I hope I can learn more from this forum and get the bike in tip top shape.

A little about the bike: Decided about a month ago I wanted to get a bike and started browsing craigslist here and there. Originally wanted a mid 70's CB500 or 750 but here in SoCal the prices are ridiculous compared to elsewhere. Just when I had about given up I saw this one for sale for $300. She said it needed a new battery, new tires, headlight, and chain. Seemed like a good buy compared to others in similar shape so I jumped on it and took it home.

That's about it, I'm currently tearing everything down and cleaning/polishing/painting as the bike was dirtier than hell when I got it.

Sure, here's a pic of how it looked when I brought it home about 3 weeks ago. Bike is completely torn down now though....just a couple piles of parts at the moment.
