Newbie from southern Spain - SR250

Hi all!

A newbie here from the (before) sunny southern Spain.

I've been riding since I was 8 and after some years without a bike, last summer I bought a -95 SR250 to help with the summer traffic jams and packed parking halls. How good it feels to be on a bike again.

During the winter I came up with an idea of doing something to the bike and that's how I found this site. Definitely to get good ideas (and feel inadequate when you see some of the prime examples here). I'm figuring out what to do to the bike at the moment. Once I figure it out, I'll keep you people posted. At the moment the bike is bone stock, only mods are +1 pinion and ProGrip grips

Hey, Wabba, welcome to DTT. The Yamaha looks like a good candidate for a cafe project. Be sure and keep us posted.
I bet you have some nice scenery to ride in Spain. I've always wanted to visit your country. Are there a ton of Bultacos and Montessas there?

It's not my country I'm a Finn, been living here for 14 years. There are lots of Bultacos and Montesas specially in historic trial circles. My brother used to have THE world champion 350 trial Bultaco of Yrjo Vesterinen. I love those bikes. I have seen some of the street bikes around also.

For riding spots, try to search for Ronda road in youtube. 10 min from my house

Hi there, another extranjero in Spain! I'm in Mallorca just outside Palma. Currently looking for a SR250 to mess about with (going to leave my 650 alone!) over the winter.

Look forward to the progress! Also will welcome any links to spanish suppliers. I've been looking at a UK website that looks pretty good for bits if you go the classic/cafe look www.feked.com has some reasonably priced kit.
