New topic for a new riding year.

Few bikes out allready... Who's had the bike out? When are we riding again?
 
There were a load of bikes out yesterday, unfortunately I wasn't one of them. I still have some work to do with the bike, thinking maybe three weeks at the earliest. How about you, been out for a spin yet?

Naw not yet... My bike is still due for an overhaul but I'll be riding it as soon as it's warm enough. Gotta get the truck done first.

You making any changes to the bike or just mechanical stuff?

Mostly mechanical. Had the head off to clean the valves, combustion chamber and replace the valve seals. Also putting electronic ignition and new coils on it. Rebuilding the front MC as well. I'll be lucky if it starts after this  :D

What kind of overhaul are you doing?

Well there's the obvious point of the paint needing work and the dent in the tank, haha.

Other than that I'll be rebuilding the forks and I'm on the fence on possibly going back to the clubmans rather then the clip-on's...

And I bought a new battery on Sunday (No more bump starting!).
 
Hello fellow Toner's....... I've got over 50kms on my bike. It's great to be on two wheels again !
Did you hear, I sold my beloved Green CB750 and finally finished restoring my Black 750. (after two years work)
I haven't layed eye's on you guys since last year. I've see Paul acouple of times here and there looking cool with sun glasses
on and a cig on his lip. LOL

Yeah, I heard you sold it, couldn't believe it at first. At least you know it has gone to a good home. I haven't been out yet, but hope to in about two weeks, I'll keep an eye out for the black one.
 
Is Paul selling a black CB750 on NL classifieds now too??

My bike is still cowering under her cover waiting for the new battery... I'm into finals now so it'll be another 2 weeks for me.

got about 30km on mine. Trying to get all the bugs out of a very intensive rebuild over the winter.

New tapered Steering Bearings
New Rear Shocks
New Forks Seals and Washers
New Front Tire
New Rear TireNew
Rear Wheel Bearings
New Slip on Mufflers
New Tach Seal
Replaced stator and new gasket
Welded Centerstand brackets and installed Center Stand
Clean/Polished Head Pipes
Replaced Front Fender
Replaced Rear Fender
New Maintneance Free Battery
New Period Correct Sissybar/Luggage Rack
Replaced Tailight
Painted Engine
Painted Frame
Cleaned Sanded and Polished all Aluminum
Painted Tach and Speedo
Painted upper/lower trees
Painted tank and side covers @ pin-striped :p :p :p :p

I'm just waiting for a guy to come by and sync my carbs...I guess he's too busy riding his 2 year build ;D ;D ;D

Wasn't the best day for it...
I still don't have the battery sorted out... the one I had ended up being too big.

Hey Ease,
First time I have been on in about 4-5 months. Sold the CB 750, went over to the other side a bought a Suzuki Intruder, hoping to have the CB 550 out in July or August, got a few items to sort out.
