apologies if my photos dont work, am new to this type of image posting!
I have always enjoyed reading everyone's builds and info on this site so though i better sign up and post up a shit yarn about my motorcycle adventures.
So i am Nick, 20 years old from Palmerston North, New Zealand. i bought this thing from a local wrecker Feb 2015, went in for a headlight bulb, saw it parked out front in all its delapidated glory

It's a ex-stolen and recovered bike, so ignition was pryed open and missing a few things, but got it cleared by police, tidied some bits up and rode it home! started going on adventures with some mates, its a 100cc 2 stroke single, shitty 4 speed gearbox that slips into neutral any chance it can. decided to start modding it to look like a brat/tracker bike.

first was some nice bars. i purchased some tracker style handlebars, tore all the hideous rear mudguard and other such ancilliaries off the rear of the bike to clean it up and re-do. also hacked up an old skateboard to use as a seat base.

then paint! painted all the blue trim pieces, fork covers, rear suspension and others. then tank was painted gloss white. other things along the way, smaller indicators from ebay and i remade the rear tail light to mount from the old seat bracket, in a crude, skill-lacking fashion with some m6bolts and a cordless drill with half the torque of an old sewing machine

then time for some new tread. 2.50 front tyre looked pathetic and didnt really put my faith in to it around corners, so splashed out on some Pirellis. front is 3.00x18, rear 3.50x18. rear tyre is a bit overkill and a little too big, but hey looks cool!

now, with a blank canvas i wanted to put some decals on this bike to take me back to the greatest era of 2 stroke motorcycling. ever since i was little i had pined over Kevin Schwantz, no one could corner like him. so I got some stickers made, and replicated his Motul-Lucky Strike RGV500. with about 1/8th of the power!!!

Still wasnt happy with how the bike looked. yuck, massive instruments in front of the handlebars, and trumpet looking exhaust. being an avid 2 stroke foamer, i wanted to build a nice expansion chamber to let this thing wind out a bit more. lucky for me a guy online has devoted an entire website to modifying these bikes for more speed, and i grabbed an expansion chamber design off him. a couple of cashies later and a friend of mine whipped this up for me!

welding the cone into the existing header was a bit out of my league, so my boss at work happily used his magic metal hot glue gun and fitted the chamber for me

this was in the middle of winter last year in nz. tuning it for the chamber has always been a temperimental exercise. i have only just recently got it running nicely. the cold weather made it idle poorly and spluttery as hell. but damn, an unbelievable sound from this little 100cc commuter machine.

then i tackled the huge 80's speedo box of yuckness.
i purchased a nice little speedo from the modern motorcycle co. in Australia, and quickly made up a new speedo and ignition mount out of some sheet i had lying around.

now, with the front end of the bike looking a lot less busy, i invested in some clubman bars for a clean racer look. much more fun riding position, easier to get your speed tuck on and crack 100km/h!

This is where i was at with the bike, loved riding it and making a hell of a lot 2 stroke noise!

the never ending battle of tuning the bike was the worst part of the build. definitely needed to adjust the jets to compensate for the chamber or else she would go bang on me. i had a nice pod air filter on it, which was not helping the mixture at all. the frame design on the bike was weird in that a downtube was almost directly infront of the carb, meaning fitting the filter meant wedging it against the frame, it wasnt quite on properly once i tightened it and one day it flew off the bike while i was riding. oops. so stock airbox went back on, and the plug looked like that helped the mixture a little bit.

took it to the Polished Rockers Motorcycle show at the start of the year, parked next to a good friend of mine's AX100.

then i tidied up the seat. we had made a nice slim seat for my friend's ax100 above, he didnt really vibe it but i loved it. so he bought a premade cafe seat and i was gifted this to put on my bike. stoked! much comfier than skateboard and foam

Then to make a rear fender to suit. i had a piece of front guard that i had trimmed off one of my other bikes, so used this and mounted it to the seat. had a nice little tail light lying around which looks the part

and yeah, thats about it! i put the tracker bars back on cos i had put the clubmans on another bike of mine, and i really like the look. i got me some bigger jets and now the bike runs superbly! 98mj from 92 standard and 22 pilot up from 19, runs really smooth and a lot quicker than the standard commuter i stumbled across a year ago! i would like to improve the suspension on this, the original shocks are terrible and the floatiest ride i have ever experienced. some stiffer rear shocks and perhaps a front end off a GT125 with disc brake would be a good upgrade. anythings possible! thanks for looking
