Nifty handlebars...

Ok folks. Im trying to get the last few bits together for the Horror Business 350, and the one thing I cant seem to find is a set of interesting handlebars that I actually like, or can afford. (Really, $150 for effin' bars?)

So... Anyone here able to whip me up a set of bars?

I dont trust my shitty buzzbox welder for something like this.

Nothing too crazy mind you. Ill PM you a sketch if youre down with the project. Thanks.

Man you're a cheap ass! I bet those OCC guys charged like $1K+ for their custom bars. ;D

You should go for some of those cool fighter grips like on the light cycles.

Fuck handlebars! Just grab the forks! Be a man's man!

i have a good idea for bars...that I'm about to make...just weld in a crossbar on a set of cb175 bars!

Have you spoken to Sean at RocCity or Herm at Dime CIty Yet ?? I think Herm just started using a new guy for clip on's.

If you're looking for clip ons a friend of mine can make them... actually pm me what you're looking for, he can prob make them...

hey von shoot me a sketch of what your kindda lookin for and ill ask a friend if he can do em on the cheap. should be able too. i know you want Zs but how tall and wide ? at the base and at the bar ends

If tshaw isn't already working on these I talked to my friend also said it shouldn't be a problem, also would be on the cheap i'm sure

Well damn guys, thanks. I actually just found a cool set of mini bike bars Im going to run on this one. That said though, I do have another chopper project coming down the pipe soon. Would love to get some bars made. Ill get a sketch to ya asap.

man to be honest, 150 for custom welded bars is crazy cheap! we typically charge 250 for custom bars... but what are you looking for? we got benders, knotcher, and gravity saw here. if it is something simple i am sure we can do them cheaper... that is if lou does not do them of course

I'm working on bars too, but mine just need bending. I want 'moustache' style bars for my SR project - like Norman Hyde M bars but more graceful.

While people are chiming in on making bars for people, anyone want to bend me up a set ;) ?

tim you have pics of what you are looking for? depends on the bends we only have like 5 dies for our bender mostly for 1 inch an bigger, mainly used to make roll cages , but if we use the smallest we may be able to get some smoooth bends.

Kinda like the Norman Hyde M bars (image attached) - probably around 28" total width, with about 6-7" of straight for grips/switches and 4-5 inches of straight for clamps (would have to confirm on my trees).

Just looking for smoother bends - along these lines:
