Tthe Problem is a 76 CB500t. Battery is good, fuses are good, but have no electricity. I turn the key to ON and nothing. Everything worked fine a few days ago. What would be the first thing to look at besides battery and fuses? My first guess would be the ignition switch.

check ur wiring in the box on the left side under the tank something might of come unconected or in ur head light

I recently had this problem, turns out one wire on the kill switch vibrated loose. I had a cheap aftermarket one on it but might want to check it anyway.

ill have to check those two things out. I went over the wiring in the grey box under the tank and everything looked ok. Ill double check tonight. I did just install clubman bars and I'm hoping its the wiring in the kill switch like you said.

all connections look ok (both controls and grey box wiring)

I notched the controls but still kept the tabs so i don't think grounding is the issue. I did take the harness out of the back of the ignition switch and I'm getting good power there. So my thinking is its the ignition switch itself.

I'm not familiar with your bike or wiring, but you can use a test light to check the switch.
Plug the harness into the switch. With the key off, if you probe the wires, you should only have one wire that's "hot". With the key on, all of them should be 'hot", with the possible exception of one wire that might be "ground".

I had a similar issue with the ignition switch on my DS7. I had power to the switch, but nothing coming out. Turns out it had a corroded contact, and the tiny spring that applies pressure to the sliding contact had disintegrated.

Oh, and it shouldn't be your kill switch. That switch cuts power to the coils, which cuts the spark, which kills the bike. It doesn't effect the electricity flow to any other function on the bike.

I had a similar problem shortly after getting my bike. The fuse holder had pretty much fallen apart. The fuse was good but the holder had rotted. I spliced in a new blade type and all was fine.

Hmm ill have to check this out as well. Looked fine from the top lol. thanks

still can't find anything wrong. Ordered a new ignition switch should be here in a few days. Hopefully that solves my problem. :-\
