Got a 73 CB500t. Cleaned and tuned the carbs. It runs really well but it doesn't have a ton of pickup and it won't go over 50mph.... Any ideas ? Iv tried everything and I'm out of ideas.

What's stock and what modifications have you made?
Did you remove all the brass from carbs and check the bleed holes with copper wire? (except the pilot jet, can't find a copper wire small enough and strong enough to clean that)

OK, what modifications?
If everything is stock (including air box) you may need new filters. The can look like new but being 40+ yrs old they will have absorbed moisture from the air into the fibers causing low airflow.
It's probably better to cut odd the oild filter material and glue in new stuff
It's a common mod on 360's,genuine filters are almost $100.00 a pair

It's completely stock and I already ripped out the old filters and glued in new uni filters

Sounds like you've done all the normal things, did you check ignition advancer is working?
If it's rusted it wont advance timing which sounds like it could be the problem?

I'm planning on doing that today after work.

Have you checked compression by any chance?

Also make sure you're getting spark to both plugs. Old plugs become brittle and crack and can cause the plug wire to come loose from the cap. Can cause problems from intermittent firing to no fire at all.

Yes compression is perfect on it and brand new wires

Was the advancer working properly?
Have you tried a timing light to verify advance is actually advancing?
The spacer washers under vacuum chambers are in good shape and sealing?
500T should have pretty good pick up, at least to about 60mph
