Noob: Fuel line question

I recently rebuilt my carbs and bought a couple fuel filters for my lines

I did a quick google search for the line size for my carbs (CL350 /722A) and came up with 1/4" . I bought the fuel line and it
fits the filters well.

The line is larger than what I had previously. It fits ok on the nipples on the carbs and petcock.... but is not super snug like
the original stuff. The original line will NOT fit the filters.

Is it ok to snug down the fuel line with zip-ties onto the nipples? Or should I skip the filter idea and get proper Honda line?

The original fuel line is metric and not exactly 1/4". The difference is minimal, but I wouldn't use zipties to cinch them down. They have a teardrop shape to them an can leak. I'd go to your local parts supplier and get some small spring type clamps.

Good idea. I will go get some of those.

I did some close examination of my old lines. The guy who had it before fitted them with model airplane fuel filters! I was wondering
what all those metal connectors were! The lines themselves are also model airplane line. I just did a measurement with calipers of
the inner diameter and they are 5/32" !!
