Noth Dakota chapter?

Cafe Style

Choppers are for those who don't know any better!
I just joind this group last night and i have seen all the differnt chapters of DTT. I live in North Dakota and have a small bike shop, I started a group called "Noth End Rockers" With over three members. ;) There arnt may Cafe bikes here, just rockets and big over grown Harleys who's riders dont give us the time of day. My question is how does a small group join DTT?

Awesome, another North Dakotan! I'm riding out of Fargo and I actually see a few nice cafe's around town when I'm out. Don't know any of the guys personally but there are cafes being built here.

Ya, including both my bikes i think ive seen...Well its just me and two others in the Grand Forks area. Its good to know im not alone. Maybe ill see you out some time, i ride to fargo every now and then to strech her legs. (the bike i mean). you cant miss me i have abig "Cafe Style" Patch on my jaket. The Noth End Rocker are few but proud. Maybe now not so few. ;D

Awsome, I've got a 77 cb750-F2 that's not finished yet and my wife's 72 cb350 cafe that I've been riding unil I get mine done.
One day ill quit being lazy and finish mine.

Awesome stuff! I grew up in Winnipeg, so I hope I'll be considered an honorary member of the ND chapter ;)

Get your pins in on the Member Map - easiest way to see who's in the area. I think we could have a section of the board for the North :) We may want to consider including some of the surrounding area as well - but we'll see who else is in the neighborhood.

Sounds good to me. We need all the members we can get. Ill be sure to place my pin. One night all of us from this area need to get togeather, drink beer, lie, and share stories about cracking the ton.

I'm running a 74 rd 350 that I picked up about a month ago. I didn't leave it stock but I can't bring myself to shred it apart and do a full rebuild/build until winter. There is just too much riding to be done. I have new controls coming for it yet and I gota figure out what the hell to do with that massive gauge pod. Eventually i'll throw some pipes and rearsets on. Once winter sets in then it'll get shredded down and hopefully I can get creative with hiding the battery and oil bottle because I don't intend to eliminate either one. I suppose I'll have to start playing with fiberglass.

Here's how it is sitting right now. New controls and bar end mirrors will be on next week.

I like the color, its already got som cool lines to it withe seat. I'm not very good with fiber glass so I make my seat pans from 22gauge steel. I agree with doing the work in the winter, summer is way to short here to do anything other that small repairs. This is my wifes cb350 that I'm riding since I haven't finished my 750 yet. Also you were talking about rearsets, I get mine through omars rearsets, there awsome and he makes them for just about everything.

Nice, fellas. Looks like you guys have a good start.

I was supposed to get out to Bizmarck this summer to visit my brothers, but time wouldn't allow it. I'm looking forward to being the pariah if and when I do make it out.

Ive been to bismark a couple of times for my day job, its a cool city. Its a bit too far to ride the 350 there. Maybe one day after i finish my 750 i will sack up and ride the ND loop. Grand forks to Minot to Bismark to fargo then back to GF.

Nice ride! That ND loop sounds pretty...ummm...long. Do you ever weld up any aluminum? I'm just curious because I've been throwing around some ideas for a new oil tank but I may just keep the side panels on and only change up the seat/pan/taillight/rear fender.

Ya, it is long. But i take great pride in not having to stop as offen as some of my buds that ride choppers. 8) I have welded aluminum in high school.......but i wouldnt want to attempt it after all these years. Plus i dont have a TIG welder. Does your oil tank really look that bad?

It's not bad but if I ever wanted to make the bike look really clean I'd need to make a slender one that could fit between the frame rails under the seat. I'd struggle to find a place to put the battery though so I'll probably end up just lowering the battery a bit so I can put on a homemade seat.

This guy kept his side panels and oil tank on and it looks good

Oh yes, defintly worth the extra effort there. A local machine shop should be able to make one.

Yea, trashed bike and some sweet road rash, I love chicks on cell phones.
