'nother noob, 'nother CB350

So, I've been off air for a while.The missus work ran out and she had no money coming in for about 6 weeks. Made things VERY tight. Plus, I couldn't find a cam anyone was willing to part with.
BUT, it looks like I've finally found my cam. And only an hours drive away. It's a type 1 and this guy knows his shit!. I've yet to meet him, but a half hour conversation gave me a lot of info. I just grabbed a pen and paper and started writing.
APPARENTLY... with the type 1 cam (68-69) matched to the type 2 rockers (70-74) which have a 3 mm offset in comparison also matched to valves from either a zx400 or xr400 (can't remember which right now) which are 4mm longer than oem but with sufficient room thanks to the rocker offset, it all goes together like it was made to be. NOW, throw in a couple of pistons from a Kwaka Z1300 which slip straight in, and you got a lighter, bigger and lumpier top end without costing any more than the oem parts.
All of this has to verified yet, but I'm very excited by the prospect.
The missus has a new job and the money is good again so this thing should be coming together over the next 6 months or so. Wanna be on the road by spring!
