Nothing left, please ignore

doin' the backstroke in an estrogen ocean
DTT BOTM WINNER
Here's what's left:
exhaust collars/gaskets
clutch/cover
crankcase and extra engine sidecovers
airbox
two valve covers
three good starter motors
two pairs rear shocks
swingarm
kickstand
centerstand
4-1 exhaust

Going to hang on to what's left for a few days longer and then probably take it to a local shop to see if they want it, and the leftovers to the melters for my penny-a-pound.

All parts priced cheap, make me an offer, but take into account shipping from zip code 49006. All funds will go into my poorly planned and worse-executed XV920 slash CB750 hack job.

Here's the roller (only the shocks and battery box are left):

ALL PARTS on the roller for sale (wheels, swingarm, forks, triples with all balls tapered bearings installed); wiring harness I'll probably hang on to and strip unless you have a 'bad' one you'd like to trade, plus cash. Wheels have been cleaned well and painted with appliance epoxy (only the rims - spokes were masked off but have not been polished).

4-1 exhaust that has been flattened on the bottom for, uh, ground clearance, and painted flat black. Silencer is in okay shape.

Some intake rubber and exhaust flanges/gaskets:

CARBURETORS ARE SOLD

Sidecovers and electronic ignition:

Engine mounts!:

Shocks (notice these have covers - the ones I have on the bike do not) and front fender. There's a ding in the fender that does not appear to be creased; could possibly be popped back out with a gentle hand:

Oil cooler (I believe this is from a CB900):

Motor - and I have three working starter motors:

I also have two valve covers I neglected to get pics of; one has been sodablasted and painted the same color as the forks.

All offers entertained, including parts swaps - I am looking for a mini speedo, small/medium women's armored jacket, and textile riding pants (~32/34), funny motorcycle tshirts. Entertaining offers especially welcome.

Re: 1979 CB750K - parting out, clear title frame

Also looking to trade for parts - side-mount license plate bracket, small headlight.

Re: 1979 CB750K - parting out, clear title frame

What wheels do you have on this? Comstars? Shall I PM you for a quote on one of them? Also interested in starter motor... need to test mine as the cover has obviously been removed on mine

Re: 1979 CB750K - parting out, clear title frame

Spoke wheels. Rims have been epoxy-painted gloss black; tires have another couple good seasons on them. Make me an offer, keeping in mind that fifty bucks of it is going to be the shipping charge.

Re: 1979 CB750K - parting out, clear title frame

That's oddly enough what I was looking to do with mine... but as i also have spoked wheels, i was hoping you had some aluminum wheels. Unfortunate :( I will check my starter motor and let you know within a few days. First come first serve obviously

Re: 1979 CB750K - parting out, clear title frame

Let me go through my stuff and see what I need. I know my starter has the mounting bolts for the cover snapped off in the ends and have had a devil of a time removing.
I do have the headlight from my clapped out CB450 if that is the size you are looking for...

If the bucket's solid pops then we can surely arrange a trade for something. I think I'd like a smaller lamp for this one but I would hang on to that.

I have enough starters that unless there's a run on them I've got one for ya

Re: 1979 CB750K - parting out, clear title frame

How small a headlight and which style, because I hate the one on my 1963 CL... Factory CB/CL 72/77 (250/305) with the oval speedometer in the bucket. Bucket and ring are good but it needs a new aiming screw and spring. I'd rather run a plain headlight...

Re: 1979 CB750K - parting out, clear title frame

Frame has title? Would a 78 SOHC motor fit this frame?

Frame does have title - but your SOHC is most definitely not a drop-in solution. Motorcycle Classics had a really neat writeup on someone who did so a few years ago, and the verdict was that it was not as good as a stock SOHC frame by the time they were done and it hadn't been worth the trouble.

But I'll sell it to ya! :)

Scruffy - I think that right now I'm looking for a 5 1/2" ish lamp, bottom-mount. Thanks much though.

Is the wiring harness in good shape?

Looks good, though I have not tested it. I'll ship it and a CB900 harness as well (which is identical but for a couple extra plugs) for $40.

Re: 1979 CB750K - parting out, clear title frame

pm me a price for the frame and title shipped to 32304

thanks
Alex

Thanks Rich. I'll pass. Good luck, see you at the THAW!!

Re: 1979 CB750K - parting out, clear title frame

Rich, would the 4-1 work on a '74 350F? Thanks man!

*Edit*
Sorry mikewerx but I just got home from a long days work, mixed myself a highball and pounded it... So I am being kind of a smart ass... But HIGHLY doubtful, two TOTALLY different engines. If the bore of a 750 spacing is comes remotely close to a 350F's I humbaly appologize.
But I am leaving the .gif for effect. ::)

Re: 1979 CB750K - parting out, clear title frame

I take it that was a retarded question... Thought it might work with a little pipe adjustin' as I can't afford a nice new 4-1
