Once you get it off, you can buff the plactic back to a shine. Also, search the site... There is a thread on relining the old helmets. Just be warned that old helmets dont provide any actual protection. They will hopefully keep your brain and skull in one place for easy cleanup though.

Yes it's my dads old Buco helmet.
I have never seen another one like it. The sides flair out instead of curving in and there is a leather flap to cover the ears. I'm not sure if the chin cup came with the helmet, Dad may have added that himself.
Well I hope that makes up for painting theuglygold helmet. ;D
