oil coming from my alternator cb350

changing my points, rectifier, and condensor today and when i took the bike off the center stand and put it on the kick oil started coming out from behind my alternator, the cover was still off i was just moving it to a different spot. pretty sure this is not good. is it a gasket or something major?

From behind the stator? Thats fine. Just replace the cover gasket and seal it up.

nope. the stator gets oil.

I have the same post from about a year ago. I had not read anywhere that oil would be present when you remove the stator cover. I does come as a shock!
