Been Around the Block
Before I start into this, I'd like to thank you guys for all the help and inspiration you've provided.
I've been around here for awhile, and it's probably well past time to start a build thread. I'm a college student, and am limited to working on the bike on weekends at the moment.
The bike is a 75 cb750 that I found through a family friend for $500. The day I brought it home:
I originally set out to build a cafe but it has definitely become more of a bobber project as things have progressed. Three things have remained the same: it is to be light(for a cb750), short, and fast.
In its current state with fender bob mocked up:
For the most part, all I've done up to this point is get the bike running, strip most of the excess crap off, clean the tank, and install the clubmans. (which I found out was no easy task)
My current focus is getting the suspension right, I've already dropped the forks 1.5" internally and I'm bidding on a pair of cb500 forks to bring it down some more. The shocks are temporarily shortened, but I plan on buying cyclex's drop shocks for the back.
Look forward to hearing your guys input!
