Looking in an old mag for something unrelated and I saw this. Didn't remember the RD500 being so expensive.

Hoof, you have that mag? Can you take a high res pic of that? I'd like to make a small poster of it and hang it in the shop ;)
 
From what I remember the GP for the road was a bit of marketing spin as it was a bit of a heavy beast, unless you got the Japanese spec bike with the alloy frame. The TZR below was closer to a race spec bike than the RG.
Still I wouldn't pass up the chance to own one though.
