On/Off switch wiring question.

The thing was running when I bought it. I pulled it apart to do a build on it. Started messing with the harness (huge mistake), now, I'm getting no power to to the engine.

It looked like this when I bought it.

And then the harness was lengthened to put everything under the seat.

Something, somewhere has gone wrong.

This is where my ignition switch hooks up.

Am I missing a piece of subharness that runs from that small plug?

There isn't a plug anywhere on the harness that goes into that single pronged one. Nothing coming out of the regulator/rectifier that would plug in to it. It has two bigger plugs coming out of it.

If harness changes have been made, it's possible that it's no longer needed. The harnesses I make remove that plug, too.

Well, there were no changes made. Just lengthened.

Do you make a plug and play harness for the 79-82 CB750K?

90 - 95% plug and play, yes. Closer to 95% if you don't mind shipping the controls to me.

With the forum discount, $225 if you wanted to wire up the controls. $5 per control if you wanted me to tackle it. I'd need measurements to make sure everything gets under the seat OK, too.

Could I send the harness I have along with the controls for a length gauge?

Lastly, what kind of time frame would I be looking at?

Hmm. I have power from the button to the starterror now. But no lights or blinkers.

Time to start tracing with the multimeter. With the ignition switch on, all of the black, brown, and brown/white wires should have power.

Got it. Have power everywhere. Not to build an exhaust, and get this thing on the road again. Last time she was tagged was in 86.
