only a harley owner haha (no offense to anyone who owns a harley) funny video

Harley-Davidson still makes bikes? I thought they only sold clothes, jewelry and accessories.

Funny video, real or not, but it brings up an important point. Why are more and more people learning to ride as middle-aged adults and not as children? I am not a parent, but one of the coolest part of my childhood was having a trail bike to ride, thanks Dad.

That was pretty funny, but too bad it's not real...unless the camera man had a boom operator with him!

HAHA, yep. As a field and studio audio engineer that's what I thought. It actually sounds like they both wearing lavs. You can tell when Brad moves his head sometimes he goes off axis from the mic. Still funny though.

HAHAHAhardyharhar...........yes they still produce motorcycles.........it's all the other stuff, clothes, accessories, and jewelry that's made in China.

I agree with kids learning to ride, our seventeen year old got his cycle endorsement with his first drivers license. Maybe because the sport(hobby, lifestyle) has become so acceptable nowadays, so now everybody wants to ride........who knows?

Since, 1972 all Harley Front ends are made by Showa of Japan (a Honda owned company) at their S. Korean plant. Wiring and electronics are made in Mexico, the engines and Aluminum products, transmission cases, wheels etc. are made in a Harley Davidson owned 750,000 sq ft facility in San Paulo Brazil (due to labor costs, huge tax breaks and incentives). Final Machining is done partially in Mexico, partially here. For many years now all of their chrome plating is done in Canada (thanks EPA). They are about to start assembling the rollers of several models in India...the plant opens this year.

Sorry, but call a spade a spade. Harleys are NOT American made. That is something that I have to argue about constantly.

HAHA, I never really looked into it, I just kind of assumed most of it was farmed outside of the USA. People need to understand the difference between American company and American made.

You want to keep your money in America? Only buy used bikes (the older the better), and only buy aftermarket parts made in the US. (Which is difficult and at times expensive, I know). I love all the HD owner "patriotism". Cracks me up.

Alright here we go...........I am not disagreeing with you Kanticoy but rather clarifying. The engine castings may be made elsewhere but the engines are still assembled here, and the bikes that are to be built in India are to be sold in India, it would mean employment here if they were built here but HD is just like all the other American owned companies and are trying to increase profits rather than put Americans to work. Please understand, I am NOT defending the company or the brand, I believe in riding what you want to ride. If HD were to start selling bikes made in India here in the states that would seriously deplete their popularity.
I also want to point out that those that hang their hats on the fact that their foriegn brand vehicle was made in the USA should know that major components of those vehicles are still manufactured and assembled elswhere, only to be final assembled here in the US.
This is all part of our so-called global economy, I didn't create it but I have to live with it.
Now just for the record, for any flamers lurking about, I owned and rode my first Honda back in 1968, along with a Cushman, and I still build and ride metric bikes as well as Harleys.........um in the garage right now.......two Hondas and two Harleys.
Ain't it GREAT to be American and have the Freedom of Choice !!!! PEACE OUT

Re: only a harley owner haha (no offense to anyone who owns a harley) funny vide

My two KZ's a 1000 and 1100 were assembled in Lincoln Neb.
And if your going to ride ride for the love of it no matter what you ride.
Just don't get on your high horse and claim you ride because of this our that until you have all the facts.
My sister in law dose that because my bro rides a Harley and I like my Kawi's buy american she says them she gets her big ass on the back of the bike in a tank top and one of those electric chair caps.

All my bikes were assembled in Little Elm Texas (those that have actually been assembled) American Proud!! ;D
