Ontario insurance??? Who are you with?

RUN SCREAMING!!!
So ive spent the better part of the day on hold looking for someone who can offer me cheaper insurance. I'm currently with state farm. As it is Im paying $120 a month on my 74TX650 with basic coverage. I think it is rediculous that I am paying the same amount monthly as my brother in law who rides a 04 ninja. To be clear state farm only care about the displacement of your bike and your record. Mine is clean so Im not penalised there. Everyone I contacted either wouldnt insure a bike as old as mine, or were charging more.

Why is insurance so fekking expensive here? Its sheer lunacy the prices we are paying. My 09 Sierra can do a hell of a lot more damage to the general public then my bike can so why am I paying the same for it??????

Im 27
licence is ACZM2
bike is a 40hp 37 year old bike.

Why is this so expensive?

I'm with Jevco a firm from Montreal. $550 a year PL/PD

I'm 42
with a DZGM2

But I live in Sudbury, if that makes a difference.

I don't know what all those letters on your license mean but I'm a GM and insurance is $600 for my XS650. Liability only. About the same for my BMW 750. $340 for the 50cc Vino.

Broker is JR Duffy here in Toronto and underwriter is Jevco.

I went with a broker and I'm also with Jevco. They were slightly cheaper than Rider's Plus. The only reason I switched is my friend works for the broker and I thought it'd be nice to give him the business.

Cool I'll check out Jevco! And Tim, ACZ means I can drive transport trucks and coach vehicles (greyhounds limos ect)

The Letters in the licence are what you can legally drive

D = Any truck or motor vehicle combination exceeding 11,000 kg provided the towed vehicle is not over 4,600 kg
Z = Needed if the vehicle you drive has air brakes
G = Any car, van or small truck or combination of vehicle and towed vehicle up to 11,000 kg provided the towed vehicle is not over 4,600 kg,
M2 = WE all know that one
