Pretty stoked about my new 1977 Honda CB750F! I'm new to the electrical side so what are all these components and do they all need replacing or can I get away wit keeping some?
keep them all stock for now,if it ain't broke don't fix it
get the thing up and running, first verify the battery is good
those weren't much for pics put down the toy camera
It's possible you could keep all of them. Put power to the bike and see what works and what doesn't. If everything is working properly, you can replace parts as needed or at your convenience.
Replacing the Reg/Rec is good "insurance" so you don't burn anything up and/or leave yourself stranded. The original is a two piece affair, but the aftermarket units combine the two. Much more compact, and tons more reliable. The two most likely other candidates for replacement would be the starter solenoid and the blinker relay. Age tends to make them seize up.
