Oxalic Acid Bath (for frame)

So I'm curious if anyone has used an Oxalic Acid Bath to clean the rust off a frame, swingarm and center stand? I'm thinking of using it clean the parts on my CB160 project... Or does anyone have a good route to take on these... Other than powdercoating?

Thanks

Oxalic acid is fairly mild and will take quite a while and unless you know someone who has a big bath of it, I'd assume it will cost you a lot more than just having it media blasted. Why not have it blasted?

What do you mean by "Or does anyone have a good route to take on these... Other than powdercoating?"? Powdercoating is just an option to put on after the surface has been stripped, like paint, ceramic, zinc, copper, brass.

blast it or wire wheel it... how rusty is the frame? there are a few producst ou there that help to convert rust/eat away at it

The frame is pretty rusty in some spots and not too rusty in others....

The reason I'm looking to de-rust it and then maybe do a quick spray job on it is because I might be modifying the frame a little while down the line and don't want to pay for powder coating (where they would media blast it as well) until I know which route I want to go on the frame... but I also don't want to start putting the bike together again on a rusty frame as I would like to ride it for a bit before deciding on the modifications...

I've looked at por-15, but that seems to not hold up well to UV.
There are some rust converters out there, and I've considered going that route, then priming it and painting it... What rust converters might you recommend?
