Oxidation inside CB360 Carbs :-(

Been Around the Block
When I picked up a spare parts bike, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the carburetors were in very good condition. I was planning to swap them into my bike (which is currently running frankenstein-ed CB450 carbs).
A while ago I glass bead blasted them and cleaned the jets and internals with carb cleaner (dip type and spray)
A few days ago I poked around the inside of them and I noticed that I had white oxidation!

This stuff is a pain to get rid of. Are these carbs done for or are they still safe to use? The reason I am asking is because I am going to drop off my bike for a top end rebuild this weekend and I don't want to risk damaging the engine with this oxidation crap.

soda blasting, cleans everything up without damage and washes off with water. there is a thread here somewhere, should be able to search.

Here's a link with a small how to on pj's idea

I've seen another guy use a home built blaster - found the link

I haven't had a chance to use this method yet but I've also boiled my carbs in lemon juice/water mix 1part lemon juice to 3 parts water. I boiled them outside on a Coleman camping stove for a couple of hours because the smell of oil and lemon would not go well in my house. ;)
