love to see some pics of that seat when you get it

well, it didnt turn out exactly the way i wanted but... its more comfy than sitting on the metal pan and i cant blame the old guy who did it i stoped in around 11:30am yesterday and he was almost passed out smelling like scotch. :) the pleats are a little off center but w/e it was only $150. i was quoted $600 from another shop. for the same work. + i dont feel to bad spending $150 and knowing that its going to someone elses drinking habit instead of my own. :)

check it out!

I just go my tax refund back form the good ol' us goverment so im putting together a list... "ohhhh nooo not more parts!" -my girlfriend :)

but seriously,

17T ft. sprocket, i already ordered it, stock its a 15T and im sitting @ 7-8k RPM's at 80mph so the 17T will lower it about 1k RPM's
clip-on's (lower the headlight and the speedo)
stainless braided brake hose
new ft. brake pads and caliper re-build
motobits rearsets
re-do the exhaust wrap and re weld (i have a couple of slight exhaust leaks)
paint and polish engine pieces
chrome swingarm
polish fork lowers
build up new wheels (will wait till next winter, it takes a while to get wheels built up)

any other suggestions? im open to ideas! i would mod the motor but it has just over 4500 orig. miles on it.

So, as of this weekend my tax return ended up getting me...

17T ft. sprocket
re-weld exhaust
re-wrap exhaust
I drank a lot
I got a gallon of milk &
heads of lettece
and a nintendo DS Lite, and call of duty 4. :)

i know it doesnt have much ot do with cafe bikes but i had a plan of what i was gonna spend my money on (my bike) and that didnt really happen except for the sprocket that i ordered.

UPDATE ON MY SEAT!
-ITS SOOOOOO MUCH MORE COMFY THAN BARE METAL!

I shoulda wandered down to this part of the list...I'm in Portland.
I've got several toys, my daily ride is my 96 Triumph SuperIII with Flat slides, cams, port work and pipes. It's a screamer even still tipping the scales at 420lbs. There are plans for losing around 35 pounds...then she'll really fly!
I'm presently working on a 76 CB500T that'll be a fun cafe ride, I've got Tomaselli clip-ons, cast alu headlight ears, dual discs up front, a bum stop and glas front fender sitting here waiting ot be bolted on this 5100mile beastie. Perhaps I'll get time this spring. Getting married sucks up lots of time....
My other project is my 81 Yamaha 850 triple. It'll be running closer to 1050cc when I'm done, chain drive and around 400lbs.
I love bikes!

hey im in mcchord afb. once my bike is running right...damn carbs. ill be able to go for some rides. i ordered a tank and seat for my cb350 so i should be ready to go sometime at the end of next month...

My name's Daron and I'm in Burien, Wa...Have always been a car guy but just recently picked up my first bike, a '78 cb550k w/15,000 miles. I have loved the cafe look since I first laid eyes on one. Currently the bike is in pieces waiting to be ressurected like the Phoenix as a Cafe.

Why does it stop at the Canadian border?? I'm in Delta/Surrey...about 20 min from the border...I love Cafes but I bleed FIGHTERS

hey everyone, i'm new around here, you can see my build thread in progress in the projects forum. cb750 project bike owner in need of lots of bits and pieces (tank, seat, exhaust, LH/RH controls, etc), help, and maybe recommendations for a good shop or two. I'm also curious about the experience you guys may have had obtaining a title for a lost title bike in washington state. I live in the lynnwood/everett area.

I believe you can get a bonded title in washington, pretty easy call dmv and have them run the numbers .

I wish it was that easy in Oregon

I am in the Seattle area, would love to meet up when my bike is complete... its getting really close.

I recently moved here and don't know a lot of folks..

I believe this info is still current. If you cannot obtain a signed release of interest form from the person who was last titled owner, but have a bill of sale, you can provisionally register it in your name, BUT you have to wait 3 years to get the title actually issue in your name. The 3 year period is presumably to ensure someone who DOES have legal claim or a lien on the title doesn't come forward. I would be kind of wary about sinking a lot of time & $$$ into anything I don't have a title to unless I knew for sure who had it last and that no claim will be made against you eventually being granted ownership.

....yup... She's correct... 3 years before it goes perm in your name.... and you never know when someone can come along and want their bike back.... which would suck alot....

I really wish Seattle was about 2hours farther north! :-\

Awesome. That's just down the street from my house. I don't have any bikes running right now, but I'll be there.

Hi guys,

Wanted to introduce myself. I live in Burlington, WA and bought a '71 CB350 a couple weeks ago. I was sitting in a field for three years and was in really bad shape. But for $60 I figured it was worth a try. ??? I'm doing a ground up build and should have it ready for this spring. Look forward to riding with you guys!
