Been Around the Block
So I grabbed myself a HLVP spray gun to do the gelcoat on my new seat but I'm eventually going to have to do a lick of paint on the thing and my tank to match.
Looking into the cost of paint it looks like I'd have to pick up plenty more primer and clear coat than I'll need to just do my tank and seat pan. So I'm wondering if anybody wants to get a group paint day organized?
We all pitch on primer and clearcoat, get our own colours, set up a temporary booth with tarps and a decent ground for the metal parts and I'll bring the compressor, gun, and acetone. All you need to do is get your parts prepped with some sanding and fill out a form to the ministry if you're changing colours from your registration.
Just thought I'd send a feeler out and see who's interested. I'll probably be painting on my own either way around the week of the g20 summit since the restaurant is likely shutting down for the whole week and I'll have a chance to take the daily rider off the road for paint.
