Painting a tank and pan/hump

What do you guys suggest/recommend as far as type/brand (with out breaking the bank) for painting a tank? My main concern is fuel resistance (damn over zealous fuel pumps!)

I'm guessing that a fuel resistant paint is more expensive so can I match what ever I use on the tank for the pan for cheaper?

Rattle can for base, spraymax 2k clear. Best bang for your buck

Isn't spray maxx valspar? Will that actually withstand gas?

"very high chemical, petrol and weather resistance for high-quality and long lasting sealing of repairs and new paint jobs on vehicles and motorcycle"

That pretty much sums it up.

Has anyone found a similar product that is not high gloss? Looking for a clear that will maintain a flat finish.

I just picked up one can of 2K for my project. May get another just to make sure I have enough for the tank and seat. I found it for $16.00 at the local auto paint supply. I am using the gloss clear since I am going over metallics. However te store I was at had the 2K clear in a flat.

FYI,

Excellent news! I'll have to go searching for it in my area.
