Why on earth would you part that bike out? The 400 is pretty desirable, and is worth more as a complete bike.

Hey BR,

This bike was given to a friend by her boyfriend... YEARS ago. He signed the title over to her. She immediatly signed the title and never transferred it.
I got the bike to use for parts on a LSR bike I am building. But I don't need it.
The title is clear but needs to be transferred ... expensive process as I understand it due to so many years W/O regestration etc.

Big headache..

You have a suggestion?

Thanks,

Alex

I figured it might have had something to do with California's registration system.....

Honestly, I would join the GSResources if I were you and try to sell it there. Only a couple people here have a 400. And maybe try to sell the bike complete on eBay? Somebody in a neighboring state may want it since it might be easier to title.

Either way, good luck with the sale. The 400 is a rare one indeed.

how many miles are on the bike? are all of the 400's rare?

I've got a GS400X lol

There's a difference between a GS400 and a GS400X, engine wise. Search over on the GSResources for a guy called Mekanix - his bike will blow your mind.

Hey Von,

How about $15 plus whatever to ship?

Where are ya? I'll see approx the cost.

Tomorrow I'll post a seat pic.

I'm just North of Pittsburgh. Please post some seat pics. The later years of my GT250 ran a similar seat, and I've always liked the look (those Suzuki tail pieces are rad). Thinking I can mod that one to work...

Wow, what a shame. Wish you were closer. I'm dying to find a GS400X or '79 GS425E in complete workable condition... Wiseco 844cc pistons bore right into those for 449cc 10.25:1 w/a custom bore cometic head gasket. Very easy bike to lighten & hot rod, add a gs1100e alloy swing arm, 35mm gs550/650 forks& tarozzi brace + mikesXS cartridge emulators, cbr1100xx blackbird rotor and ninja600ex caliper, dyna-s, mac 2:1 exhaust, nitro decarbon style shocks, shinko 230 tourmasters, drag bars, etc

Well guys after much thought on this thing I've decided to sell the entire bike in one piece. Sorry for the noise.
Alex
