Been Around the Block
The motor has seized on my xt500 cafe and just need to part it out. Bought a new triumph bonneville t100 yesterday so have no use for anything. All prices are best offer. Shipping to the lower 48 is no problem. Shipping to Canada will cost a bit more. Here is the list:

1) Borrani aluminum shouldered wheels (front drum is from an early xs650/rear hub is a stock xt500)
Great condition. They need a good polishing but no pitting/rust etc. Just the typical oxidation on the spokes. Tires will be demounted and not included.

2) Manx tank from omarsdtr. It is fiberglass and great quality. Comes coated with his liner and withstands modern fuels. Will come with center mount kit. The tank is painted a BMW sparkling graphite color. Only damage is a slight chip on the rear right as shown in the picture. 230+shipping



3) Dunstall seat from carpy. Great quality/super thick fg. Has 4 holes drilled on top/2 on the side for tabs and the rear is drilled for the brake light. I can include the brake light for no charge if the buyer wants. Also painted BMW sparkling graphite. 85+shipping


4) 35mm woodcraft clip-ons. Will not come with grips. The left bar has been cut down a bit for a side view mirror to fit the inside of the bar. Not noticeable with a grip installed. 85+shipping




5) 335mm eye to eye shocks from mikesxs.net 55+shipping


6) mini tach/speedo The speedo is from DCC and is 60mph/2240rpm. The tach is from mikesxs and is a 1:5 ratio 65+shipping for both or 35+shipping each

I dont mean to jack the thread but do you have any idea why the motor siezed?... Ive heard that its common for motor on the SR500, XT500 & TT500's to grenade because of the poor oil flow to the top end + the leaky 3 bolt oil pump of the earlier models... was that the case here?

I assume it was the 3 bolt oil pump not supplying enough pressure. I haven't investigated but know it is seized from the kickstarter. All signs point to the cylinder though. Motor only has 11,xxx on it too.
 
Wheels are spoken for, tank/seat/taillight have been sold and clip-ons with speedo have also been sold. Still have the rear shocks and tachometer.
