Parts Compatibility

Hey guys, I got a problem. I own a 1981 Kawasaki KZ650 CSR. What I am wondering is, is there other years/cc's that would have a compatible main wiring harness? My budget is extremely small and I have had no luck finding a wiring diagram for this year.

I may be wrong, but I'd expect the wiring diagram to have remained fairly constant across all models. What parts of the wiring loom are damaged and what isn't working at the moment?

Here's the wiring diagram for my 1980 F1 650.

Might work for you, might not. I think I got mine off kz650.info or kzrider or something. Your best bet is to look in those places.


I removed my main wiring harness but cut out a few of the connectors and re-used them. It wasn't too much trouble to get it to run wiring from scratch with a capacitor. It cost me about 20 bucks to do that. Cheaper than buying a wiring harness I bet. Good luck.
