Peel and stick advice... for cafe seat

Coast to Coast
I'm at the stage of finishing my seat.

I wanted to know if you guys have used 1inch or 1/2 inc tick of neoprene.

I wanted it to be ridable and a little comfortable.

I'll buy it from Pacomotorstuff

[/size]So its medium density. Does anybody already tried it from him?

My guess is if you have to question whether or not it will be comfortable enough or not, it probably won't be. Might try searching the wera forum or something?

Your guess? I'd rather like the advice of someone who tried it.

Someone?

Its not comfortable. Mainly used to resist sliding. Moto racers aren't really sitting down but more like hovering.

I'm looking at a simple pad that can be removed when parked. You could use the High Density closed cell foam with an open cell foam on top, all wrapped in a cover.

Ok but have you ever tried it? If so what product did you used?

Joe...I think it depends on the base you are sticking it to largely. I have the 1/2 inch stuff on my T500 , and it's absolutely fine......but the base is flat and wide. If it were narrow, and/or had a bump in it like some fibre glass units do, then it might not be so comfortable.

We sell seat units with more substantial upholstery.......which we make by first creating a base plate from 2mm aluminium, and then having 1" foam and a cover attached to it. We hold the plate to the fibre glass with riv-nuts.
