Hey Guys,
I am just to the point where I want to install an electric ignition system on my cb200t, and need your help clarifying exactly how to go about wiring everything. Ive found some useful info hunting the forum, but nothing that gave me a clear and solid info.

I am quoting this from another member, but need some clarity.

"so.. battery/power 12v(+) to coil (+)
coil (+) to pertronix (+)
petronix (-) to coil (-)
what about the ground that went to the old coil that was connected to the battery? does that go to pertronix (-)? or can it be omitted? thanks so, so much!"

Would this then be the proper setup?

2- Should i time all this off a different timing mark other than "F"? Or would it be wiser to leave it as is and tune it after getting the system running

ARG.....

You have 12V from the battery on the coil, and the other side of the coil grounded. The ignition will not do anything, the coil is always powered. Depending on the system, the ignition coil ground is switched on and off....

since I don't know your specific system, I can't tell you how to wire it correctly, but the schematic you have is wrong for any ignition.

Hopefully, the battery power is switched too...or you just run the battery dead..
