Petcock Crap!

Tango Sucka

Without proof, your just an opinion!
Ok, beautiful day in Michigan yesterday so I thought I would take my old Honda for a spin. It started, ran crappy then died, Started, feathering the choke, reved a bit to warm er up but then she died again. Then it just wouldn't start. Ugh. So I pulled the plugs, they were black but not wet. I have inline filters between the petcock and the carbs. The fuel was in the lines below the filters but not above. Is this normal? So I started messing with the petcock. Figured it was plugged. Drained the tank and removed it. The long tube is there but the short one is broken off, I assume that is for the "reserve" and it is there so any stuff that settles stays in the bottom of the tank, well with mine gone, I bet any crud goes directly into the petcock. Anyway, took the petcock apart and blew it out with the compressor. After replacing it and filling it up with fuel, she started right up, but of course leaked everywhere. Now with the tube missing and the two screws in front of the selector stripped by my super strength, I decided to order a new petcock from Honda. I have searched the forums but have not found alot of info that pertains directly to my issue. Anybody ever have similar issues? Oh and I bought some Kreem tank liner. Is this any good? Didn't buy the full kit as I will probably switch tanks in the future, is there anything else I can use to clean the tank prior to sealing it? THANKS!!
