Been Around the Block
I don't know how many people live in St. Louis but I was down there the other day and found this incredible wall that would make a great backdrop for photos. I will go back with my bike.

DUDE!! i was in stl this weekend all along the waterfront. i didnt see this. where was it?

It is right on the waterfront road. The Arch has a staircase in front of it. It is about 1/4 mile south of the arch along a grain silo and railroad. The wall that everything is on is about 500 ft long and has a ton of awesome art on it.

Very cool art. Really bright colors. It could be a cool back drop. It wil be tricky though. You will need to try to get some kind of seperation between it and the bike. You would want the bike to be the main focus and not the back ground. Also, it is so bright and busy the bike could get lost. I'd like to see a wide angle shot with the bike real close. Or maybe shoot it with a longer focal length lens with a wide open aperature. That way the bike would be in focus and the background blurred. You'd still get the bright colors and interesting shapes. Will be cool to see what you come up with.

i'm feeling the longer focal length. Like maybe a 135mm at f/2 maybe at night. do something like 30 second shutter and throw a flash or two on the bike. depending on how much ambient light the wall is getting it could be kinda cool.

Whoa, wait a minute. Digital camera techno talk, over my head. I do work at Best Buy and there are a few guys there that are awesome photographers. Maybe I'll have them take the pics of my bike against the wall. Better results that way. Just as a contrast though, I had taken some before pics of my truck since it is going in for some major mods also and I think the color is similar to what I'm going to paint my bike. It gives a good contrast of color. There is also many feet of that wall with tons of artwork and I only took pics of the wilder parts. Maybe there will be a section that will not take too much from the bike when I'm done also.

That wall section began several years ago as part of "Paint Louis" Graff kids from all over the globe come every year.

In any case, it seems to pop up as a regular for photo shoots. Should be good for some bike stuff...

+1 what they said.
Definitely move it away from the wall for more separation. and shoot it low so you loose the grass, cars and bikes look better shot on hard surfaces so if there is a section that has concrete on the ground in front of the wall then I would be using that. Late afternoon light would be the go for sure.

ya, paint louis was awesome. I never made it down, but have seen tons of flicks from it. Also thats a sick looking 2.5rs, two of those fell through my fingers before I gave up on finding a low mileage one with leather and got my 540i..
